Everett Raymond Kinstler
This book, now out of print, was reprinted many times over its 30-year run, and there are a few copies of the final version available.
In Painting Portraits, Mr. Kinstler takes you into his studio to discuss his working methods. He describes the materials and equipment he finds essential to portrait painting. Other subjects he discusses include: the painter's attitude towards the portait and the sitter, to the client who will approve the painting, and to those who are emotionally invovled with the subject and the painting.
